A sports wheelchair costs around £3000 and together with the Rotary Club of Maidenhead Bridge we managed to raise over half that amount, bringing the dream of paralympic sport closer to someone's life.

On Sunday 11th August we walked 7.5 miles along the Jubilee River from Maidenhead Bridge to Windsor to raise money for WheelPower, a charity that provides wheelchairs and training support for young and newly disabled people to enable them to enjoy sport. The challenge was to do this in fancy dress costume and using as many "means of transport" as possible - we actually used more than 30!
